Being the owner + curator of the shop means I have first dibs on trying or admiring all of the products that come into the shop. To showcase these awesome wares with you I'm going to start creating a Top 5 list of products that I'm currently loving or dying to have!
1. First up are the new Stanley Manley Beard products that arrived a couple of weeks ago! They make the shop smell incredible and even though they are intended for the bearded man I'm thoroughly enjoying them myself + dreaming up all of their possible uses. I've been using the Beard Bustin' Balm as a solid perfume + to help soften + tame the ends of my hair (the Oil of Delay would serve the same purpose) as the scents are irrestible. I'm not a big fan of perfume and can be sensitive to different scents but the Stanley Manley products are created using natural essential oils so they cut the crap + get straight to the good rich, earthy smells that I ADORE. There are 9 different scents to choose from, it's worth coming into the shop just to do a smell test of them all (seriously). My favourites at the moment are Booze n Broads, Lumbersexual + O Captain My Captain. The names slay me.
Harold was a barber + I think he would approve of introducing these products into your grooming routine (male or female)!
2. Everyone that comes into the shop fawn over Madame Babu's kimonos + I'm right there with them. I've heard from friends that have bought one (or two or three...) that they are heavenly in the comfort department and add that bit of oomph you need to get away with wearing comfy clothes in public - here's looking at you t-shirt + leggings! They would also up your loungewear situation from frumpy to fabulous. Because the last thing you need while enjoying a PJ day or suffering through cold + flu season is to catch a glimpse of your unshowered, sweatpant self in the mirror ;) With different patterns + styles there is the perfect fit for everyone. It may require trying on a few but who cares when they are this beautiful!
3. Speaking of t-shirts, this guy deserves a spot in the Top 5! A super soft + comfy tee in a colour scheme that works great on guys + gals. Sporting our incredible handlettered logo by Eliza Harrigan you really can't go wrong when styling these. Great for lounging or paired with jeans + a cardi for a coffee date or shorts whenever that warm season arrives. I'm actually wearing one right now, it's tough not to wear every day they're just so amazing. Thanks Effigy Design for the quality work!
4. And speaking of wishing for warmer weather the new effie pots & co. planters get those whimsical spring/summer thoughts brewing! Come and adopt a little succulent or air plant baby to care for, they require minimal walking, zero vet fees and are always available for cuddling; they're also pretty hard to kill, being from the desert + all. With a variety of swoon worthy colour palettes and sizes available (including dinosaur planters) you're sure to find the perfect new addition to your plant family!
5. Finally, I've been dreaming about these little sterling silver crochet earrings from Knotty Me for awhile now. They are so casual but dainty, the perfect accessory. There are a variety of colours, no two pairs are the same. Creating patterns on the go, off of the top of her head means that another pair may never be created the same way again, they are like little crocheted snowflakes :)
