Bring on SUMMER! The weather hasn't gotten entirely onboard yet but I'm confident it should step in line soon. I'm ready for endless sunny days + to find inspiration from all of the lovely blooms we'll be seeing these next few months right up until harvest season! We've got a lovely lineup of workshops + events this month so read on for all of the juicy details...

Geometric Ceramic Coasters w/ Bethany Scott
Come join Bethany Scott for a hands-on workshop where you will make a set of 4 Geometric Ceramic Coasters. You will be shaping, carving + painting the coasters with engobes. You can follow the geometric pattern or feel free to experiment with your own designs! The finished product with be fired in an off-site kiln + returned to Harold + Ferne the week following the workshop - just in time for Father's Day!

Clothing Swap w/ Room to Breathe
Come join Harold + Ferne and Room to Breathe as they give tips + insight on not only letting go of the unwanted + unused from your wardrobe, but also getting organized + finding the joy in what you own. Room to Breathe will show you new ways to organize your clothes, including demonstration of the KonMari Method, a technique gaining in popularity from the book The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up by Marie Kondo. Things in the closet can start to pile up + get out of our control, so join us for this workshop, purge your closet, mingle with great women + go home with some great new-to-you finds along with strategies on how to make your closet + dresser stress-free and joy-filled!
Participants of the Clothes Swap will receive 30% off a 2 hour session with Room to Breathe, which you can enjoy for yourself or pass on to a willing friend/family member. We specialize in supporting those wanting to simplify, downsize, and let go of the "clutter" in order to help see the joy all around.
Details:
1. Swaps are one for one. So, for example, if you bring 7 articles of clothing + 4 accessories then you will be able to take home up to 7 articles of clothing + up to 4 accessories. However, if you're trying to minimize your closet then, of course, you may only want 3 articles of clothing + 0 accessories, completely up to you!
2. All clothing must be gently used + recently cleaned. Remember to check your pockets before donating! Acceptable items include: shirts, sweaters, pants, loungewear, active wear, footwear, jewelry, hats, scarves, bags + coats. Please no intimates, bathing suits or winter clothing.
3. Wear a tank top + leggings so that you can easily try clothes on overtop + bring a tote bag to keep your finds safe + separate!
4. All pieces left over after the swap will be donated to Green Again for New Beginnings. A second-hand shop downtown where all proceeds go towards supporting Green Haven Women's Shelter.
Participants required to bring a minimum of 5 pieces of clothing

Printmaking w/ Samantha Dewaele *update: this workshop is now happening at H+F*
Join Samantha Dewaele of The Paper Forest for another Printmaking Workshop. Samantha will guide you through the process of creating your very own stamp, from design to carving to inking + stamping! You will leave the workshop with your handcarved stamp + three 4"x4" prints on quality paper. All supplies + materials will be provided. Before the workshop, scope out some design inspiration. Each participant with receive a 3" square to carve, so keep this size in mind when planning your design. Would you like to create a small scene? One large object? Or create a couple simple stamps to use in creating a pattern?

Floral Embroidery Class w/ Olivia Neal
Join Olivia Neal in our first embroidery workshop! We will be creating an adorable little floral hoop inspired by the coneflower. This will be a great introduction to the art of embroidery + you will take home a small completed piece. An original pattern created by Olivia will be used + all materials will be supplied so all you need to bring are your nimble fingers!
