I'm very excited to post that Harold + Ferne is looking for a Full Time Assistant Shop Manager! I have partnered with the CDC here in Orillia to provide an opportunity for someone between the ages of 15-30 looking to start a career in this beautiful city.
This is a really dynamic position with a lot of opportunity for growth and development. I'm really looking for someone that is passionate about supporting the local Makers here at the shop and our community at large. Someone who has fresh ideas and needs a place to try them out. Someone ready to dive in and help develop some really exciting new ideas I have for Harold + Ferne!

HAROLD + FERNE: THE LOCAL GOODS CO. ASSISTANT SHOP MANAGER
$16/hr
Looking for an individual to fulfill a Permanent Full Time Assistant Shop Manager position to begin immediately.
Harold + Ferne: The Local Goods Co. is a space in downtown Orillia dedicated to supporting artists and artisans located within a 50 km radius. Since it’s establishment in December 2015, the shop has showcased over 100 Local Makers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide excellent customer service
Complete sales transactions (receive and process payments by cash, cheque, credit card or automatic debit)
Track inventory
Evaluate and improve customer service and respond to customer requests and issues
Learn about products and the Makers to help customers make informed purchases
Opening and closing the shop
Working alone in the shop
Promote the mission and values of Harold + Ferne: The Local Goods Co.
Develop social media posts
Responsible for maintaining the visual standards and image of the store, such as store and window displays, signage and cleanliness
SKILLS REQUIRED
Knowledge of Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest social media platforms for business
Retail experience
Experience in a creative field
Champion of supporting local
Organized
Willingness to learn and grow with the business
Creative problem solver
Love for the environment :)
