Essential Oils Make + Take: Natural Cleaning Products 6:30 - 8:30
It seems the more we find out about the chemicals in our homes and cleaning products, the more we realize they are neither safe nor good for the environment. The ingredients in almost all the most popular products are now known to be either carcinogenic, hormone disrupting, toxic to the body, bad for the environment or all four! More "environmentally friendly" products might break down better once they go down the drain, but they are not necessarily any less toxic to humans and are usually more expensive.
So, what is a health + environment conscious person to do? Make their own! Not only are homemade cleaning products chemical free but in most cases they are a fraction of the price of regular, chemical laden, cleaning agents! And, contrary to popular belief, one natural cleaner can take the place of a number of different chemical heavy products, saving you storage space under the sink. Another great benefit to cutting the chemicals is that these products are family friendly - no harsh residue or smells to contend with - so kids can safely help out with chores around the house.
In this class we will make laundry detergent, an "everything" scrub + a delicious room spray! You will go home with the recipe, the experience to repeat the recipe + samples of each to try while you get together the ingredients to make your next batch.
This is a great way to begin, or continue, your journey towards a chemical free home!
